Virginia Readers' Choice

Virginia Readers' Choice is a collection of ten titles selected annually by the Virginia State Literacy Association.  These books have been published in the last five years and are considered exceptional examples of their genre. VA Reads titles are high quality, diverse literature selected by Virginia school librarians. These books are made available in our school library and students who choose to read four or more in the course of the school year, and record their reading in a file box at school, will receive an invitation to an end-of-season celebration in the spring.  Our VRC/VA Reads program is generously supported by our local ice cream stand, Effee's Frozen Favorites, and students will receive gift certificates and other prizes for their participation.
